Hey there, I'm Annie Kay!!
Welcome to my kitchen! Or more technically, my little corner of the internet… 🤪 The kitchen has always been where I feel most alive and inspired. It is my sanctuary. It is where memories are made and laughter echoes. So naturally, it is where we have the deepest of conversations.
Kay’s Kitchen Co. is where we talk about saving money on groceries, meal planning tips, and living more fulfilling and nourishing lives. And in this kitchen, perfection is left behind. We are all cooks in training, there are no “right” ways of doing things, and never ever take yourself too seriously (because there’s no fun in that).
I am less of a recipe developer and more of a recipe collector. From old recipes written in cursive on index cards to physical cookbooks to blog posts where yes, I enjoy reading the WHOLE post (I know… who does that??). Each recipe is unique and if you look closely enough, you can learn a little bit about the person behind it.
I was born a baker but found a great love in cooking. I like to consider myself in my “learning to homestead era”. I dream of a couple of acres, a giant garden, and a chicken coop where I gather eggs every morning. But for now, I enjoy strengthening my homesteading skills through sourdough baking, food preservation, and becoming more of an “ingredient household”. I may not be able to teach you how to make homemade yogurt (yet), but I promise to be honest about all my cooking failures.
Outside the kitchen, I have three dogs and a wonderful boyfriend (hopefully soon-to-be fiance 😉). We love traveling in our converted van and find the most peace while camping. I run the kitchen and he runs the smoker.
If this sounds like your vibe, then come on in and join me in my kitchen!
